Let me ask you a question.
Do you find yourself: a. Stuck in a fashion rut b. Wearing the same 2-3 outfits when you want to look really cute c. Have a very full closet but do not wear nearly all of itWell if you answered “Yes” to any of those then this “Closet Shopping – Cutting Costs by Rediscovering your Wardrobe” series is for you! I indeed LOVE clothes. I am not the most fashionable person out there, but I do like trends, good finds, great deals and feeling like I love the outfit I am in! I have found that my closet is full of great items, but SO many that I purchased, wore once and then just did not wear again. So to solve this problem I thought I would take a little tour of my own Pinterest STYLE ME Board that I create for my photography clients and see if anything in my closet resembled anything I loved on Pinterest! Low and behold it did! Now, my outfits will usually be the “good deal” and not match perfectly to the photos, but I will do my best on this journey to accomplish these simple goals:
1. Dig deep in my closet to find the things I don’t wear as often
2. Branch out of my “comfort zone” and wear some new fun trends
3. I will “closet shop” before I spend money on new items
So, here is the first installment of Cloest Shopping with Tonie Christine. (hope it inspires you to find a new outfit in your closet!)
Loved this more casual look and throw on a coat and you are good to go! Now I did find a “What she is wearing” blog so I thought I would share that before I show you how I put this outfit together:
NOW ITEMS TONIE Wears:
Shoes: Brown Leather Booties TJ Max $34.99
Shirt: I loved the DETAIL on it as well as the cut of the bottom of it: Sale Rack at Nordstrom $19.99 (Usually $69.50)
Forest Green Felt Hat: Marshalls on Clearance: $7.00 – “As Compared to $119.99” as the tag read from Marshalls
(**Disclaimer: these are just finds I make or have made in the past while shopping, and I am NO Pinterest Model… this is just plain old me, emulating the fun photos I see on Pinterest!**)
This is a great idea Tonie!
Love it!! More please. 🙂
