Wow, there is a special place in my heart for these kinds of events! 5 of her grown grandsons came together, donned their suits, opened the door, pulled out her chair and sat for a 3 hour meal talking with their “Granola” (Grandma Nola) about life, marriage advice and even football! To see her pray over these men before dinner and a special toast given by my husband to her, was SUCH an honor. The very next night, us granddaughters got together and surprised her with yet another dinner! You can even see that the farthest away granddaughter, Lindsey, did a quick appearance via Facetime so that she did not miss this awesome birthday celebration.

If you have ever had the chance to met Nola Johnson you know how special is really is. she is a VERY popular lady in Leavenworth, WA as her and her husband Bob Johnson (Commonly referred to as Papa)  started the Enzian Inn and Papa still blows the Alpen Horn each morning for the last 30 years on the breakfast ledge at the Enzian Inn! Her heart and smile just leak joy and love and to see her grandkids come to celebrate her 80th birthday together just brings tears to my eyes! I am lucky to have married into this amazing legacy! Happy Birthday Granola! We Love you!
