So, I guess in the land of babies, its customary to at LEAST take a photo of your baby monthly…. I’m honestly not sure how long this will last, but I would LOVE to think I will do it all 12 months of her first year just so I can see her growth… realistically? I will probably forget, or end up doing iPhone ones, but hey, at least month one is done!
You are also “supposed” (by the social media gods I guess) to write an update on behalf of the baby… “This month I got so big! I went from 5 lbs 4 oz to 7lbs 2oz! Isn’t that amazing?!” Haha ok.. well as her mommy I think that’s pretty amazing but here’s my REAL update (only because my best friend DARED me to share what I texted her today as my update) “Hi! I’m Hastings! I somewhat suck at breast feeding, – no pun intended – I make choking and squeaking noises at night that freak my mom and dad out A LOT and I think I am going to make mommy go insane… but all in a days work! Mommy tells me she loves me all the time, so I am pretty sure she really does! My mommy and daddy are the best.”
Friends, parenthood is NOT for the faint of heart! Sheesh! But I can honestly say, I LOVE HER. Like A LOT. Wouldn’t trade the memories for the world and I am BEYOND thankful for a husband who sticks by my side and helps as much as he does :). So heres a tiny glimpse into the month.
Happy One Month Hastings. I promise in Month 2 to be more patient, to not cry as much and to start your baby book! We love you more than you know! – Love Mom and Dad.
I had my very first bath and it was AWFUL. Hopefully the next ones are better!
I met my Great Grandma Joy and lots of other family too! 
Here I am with my boy cousins and soon I get ANOTHER boy cousin…. Happy to be the only girl! SPOILED!!!!!!
My favorite boy cousin gave me my first cheese stick right in my mouth before my Nona (Grandma) could stop him! I am not sure I like those yet…
Mommy managed to get a couple shots of me where I didn’t squirm or cry 😉 And Daddy MADE me my first REAL toy! A wooden camera that I plan to take EVERYWHERE with me as I get older! (The toy made mommy cry again.. but I think this time it was good!)
