Not a soul knew these two were tying the knot. Well… other than myself, the videographer and their officiant! It was an honor to sign their marriage certificate after we witnessed them say “I Do” to a future together with all the up’s and down’s that they may face. With the rain starting to REALLY beat down, just as we left the cabin and headed to the lake where they would see each other for the first time, Ellie was giddy with excitement because she indeed dreamt of her wedding with rain and the drips coming off her flowers and face and thought her wedding wouldn’t be complete without it! During the “first look” she got just that.. I mean a TRUE PNW downpour! The rain lightened up a bit during their ceremony tucked behind a massive boulder beneath the trees and as we hiked to the top of the mountain to do their first dance as husband and wife, we were all smiles as the sun began to peek through the trees. When we finally reached the top, we were greeted with the most beautiful rainbow and a perfect reminder of beauty through the “dreary” days. It was a truly magical scene and these two danced together with the PNW as their backdrop while music played on a speaker in the background. It was so RAD…. magical and RAD.
