There is another woman in his life… I can’t begin to compete with her… I’m so thankful I don’t have to!

It’s crazy to think about what 3 short years can do in your life. From meeting E, dating for 90 days, getting engaged and then married just 5 months later in 2013…. to buying a house in 2015 and also giving life to our new little Hastings Rae… I can honestly say, things with E have always been a whirl wind! When we found out we were pregnant (you can read that DOOZY of a story here…) we literally threw our hands in the air and waived them like we just didn’t care said “Well HECK! Everything else in our relationship has been fast and furious and a complete shock, so why not getting pregnant too?!” HA!

Well, when thousands  a few people ask who will be doing photos for this… and photos for that… in our lives, I have always loved working with other creatives who can take my vision and SOAR with it! For our engagement photos, Benj of Benj Haisch Photography did a KILLER job and it was the start of a fun friendship with him!  For our newborn photos we turned to Candice Hackett of Ivy & Tweed Photography who is a dear friend of mine. (Keep in mind the newborn photos were 5 DAYS after I gave birth! 😉 ) So, I wanted to do a little side by side because I was SHOCKED to see how these shoots emulated one another without even trying! I can’t believe the journey that God has taken us on. We are SO SO blessed by Him and how He has written our story and continues to guide us down this crazy path!

First, I was in his arms, and now I stare at him with her in his arms.

I thought I would be the only woman to make him crack his gorgeous flirty smile… but now she does it better than I ever could!

He won me over with his blue eyes gazing into mine, and now he daily wins me over when those same blue eyes look at her with just as much love.

He was my shoulder to lean on when things got tough, and he still is, and now his other shoulder is taken up by her.

We talked about the future, and now we talk about her future.

He wraps his arms around me to show me his strong embrace, now she will grow up feeling his love and strong arms wrapped around her.

I touch his arms to show my admiration, and she touches his soul by just a light touch of the finger.

and my favorite of all….. he kept me safe and protected, and now together we will do the same for her.

E, I love you more than you know, respect you more than anyone else in the world and I know she will too. I’m just glad I get to share you with her.
