An Aurora Brooklyn Wedding in Williamsburg, New York City

“I’ve been following your work for 11 years and I am checking what dates you are open before we choose our wedding date. Will you come to New York to shoot our wedding?” Kaitlyn’s first inquiry email stopped me in my tracks, and of course it was a resounding YES! When you get to work with clients who love your work and trust you through and through, some real magic happens, and Kaitlyn and Adam’s Brooklyn wedding was exactly that.

The day began at the Arlo Williamsburg, where floor-to-ceiling windows framed the New York City skyline as Kaitlyn got ready. From there we headed to the Brooklyn waterfront for portraits with the Manhattan skyline behind them, the moody city light doing what it does best. Later in the day we hopped into a vintage yellow cab for portraits in DUMBO under the Manhattan Bridge, caught golden hour along the East River, and wandered cobblestone streets and brownstone stoops for some of my favorite NYC wedding portraits yet.

Their ceremony took place at Aurora Brooklyn, a beloved Italian restaurant on Grand Street in Williamsburg with a vine-covered garden courtyard that feels like a secret hideaway in the middle of the city. Exposed brick, ivy, warm Edison bulbs, and candlelit tables made it one of the most romantic wedding venues in Brooklyn. The night ended with dancing at Madeline’s in Greenpoint.
