So it’s been a while since I did a post on REAL “Closet Shopping” where I visit Pinterest for my fav styles and then go into my own closet and “Shop” it to create new outfits that I may not have put together myself! This is a way for me to stay more “on-budget” (It’s in quotes because in all reality shopping is my all time favorite hobby so I tend to buy duplicates of items I already own and closet shopping is a way for me to challenge myself not to — ( not to mention I always stalk the sale racks and The Rack or Marshalls! – Hasty is a pro at shopping Marshalls with me!) BUT this post isn’t ONLY about closet shopping! It’s about one of my TOP favorite places to find hidden GEMS right in the quaint little downtown strip of Poulsbo! If you have not done a day trip over there with your bestie or spouse, you totally have to. Just a quick ferry ride from Edmonds or Seattle, Indigo Plum is tucked right down on front street in Poulsbo, and smack dab in the middle of all the attractions! It’s got style to boot for both the outdoorsy fanatic and the “fashionista” alike. From Patagonia Dresses to Saltwater Sandals for the adults and kiddos, even Hunter Rain boots and my personal favorite FRYE shoes! Did you know it’s the ONLY place on the Kitsap Peninsula you can go to buy FRYE Boots and shoes?! I think that’s part of the reason they are such a gem in the small town! Great style and unique products. (Ps read all the way through to see Hasty’s blooper photo at the bottom!! HAHA!!! )
Here’s a quick look at my trip over there and working with the expert shoes ladies at the shop!
I had personally never tried on Birkenstocks, and man, I fell in LOVE with the Rose Gold pair, so those might be on my list for the future 😉
This bag is also a MUST for summer! Indigo Plum has their OWN line of these and are Faux leather and my FAV part is that it’s reversible and doubles as a black or brown bag for under $60!
So here is my Spring/Summer fashion thoughts: Since it currently seems to be cool in the mornings and then heat up in the afternoon, I’m dressing in layers that can easily be removed and still look like a compete outfit. I had been in search of just the right green vest for quite sometime and this one was a steal at Marshalls for only $19. (On Clearance!) The Jeans I bought YEARS ago at Nordstrom rack and I think a good pair of ripped jeans are a MUST for out cool Seattle spring days. Lastly, My Frye Booties are from Indigo Plum and are a splurge but if you have never owned a pair of Frye’s… well let’s just say every closet needs a pair! They are timeless and the best quality out there! So, if you are not convinced just yet, then go visit Indigo Plum for yourself and find something that fits your style to a “T”! Find something you will love and will want to wear everyday for YEARS.
