Hey hey! Today’s installment of Closet Shopping is one that really makes me feel like this whole idea of looking at Pinterest photos and finding outfits from my own closet that match is REALLY WORKING! As I browse Pinterest, I find myself wanting certain things….feeling like I need to purchase something to “freshen up” my wardrobe or just plain feeling jealous of all those cute “models”. But alas, today I am feeling accomplished!

I ran across this photo (on the right) and thought, gosh she looks relaxed, cute and like she just threw on that outfit!” and isn’t that what we all want?! To just throw on an outfit and look THAT cute?! Well digging into my closet proved fruitful this time!

First, my orange heels were purchased at a thrift store on Capitol Hill in Seattle for $9.00…. OVER A YEAR AGO! ha! My plaid shirt is actually just from Forever 21 and one that I felt like never really fit that well, BUT the trick of tucking it in, in the front has become one of my favorite tips to making something look a bit more flattering or like it fits well so give it a try!

I actually wore this outfit to my “girlfriends Christmas Party” and got lots of compliments from them! I was so excited that nothing I purchased was brand new, or that I had to buy something to make this outfit work… so…. as 2015 comes to a close I do feel like my “Closet Shopping” efforts have really paid off! I don’t look at Pinterest anymore and feel depressed like I don’t have anything cute in my closet! I now look at it with new eyes and as a challenge to MAKE that outfit work with what I have!
